I have great pleasure in inviting you to exhibit at this year’s Scotland’s Countryside Festival at Glamis Castle, by Forfar in Scotland. I hope you decide to join us. This year’s festival takes place on the 28th and 29th July 2012. Scotland’s Countryside Festival is a well established, family-run country festival which celebrates it's 10th Aniversary this year.. It is the largest event of its type in the East of Scotland, and we spend more on main ring entertainment, and other entertainment than any show of this kind in Scotland. This has included, in the past, The Devil's Horsemen stunt riding team, horse and hounds, terrier racing, dog shows, dog agility, falconry and pipe bands. Around the event are attractions such as Highland dancing, piping, horses, including Clydesdales and Highland Ponies, farriery demonstrations, craft marquees, a lively food hall, over 300 shops, archery, clay shooting, fishing, horse and hounds, air-rifle shooting, gun-dogs and numerous competitions. This is besides any special displays, or exhibitions undertaken by participants as a part of their involvement. We also have a large farming display which includes old and modern machinery, cattle, sheep and hens. We run a very attractive show, as I’m sure you can imagine! Our demographic surveys show a large number of people who are very enthusiastic about the countryside and things to do with the countryside including families with children, seniors, horse and dog enthusiasts and country sports enthusiasts. We also attract many food and music lovers, and people wanting to find out more about the countryside in the beautiful setting of Glamis Castle. We have a large number of return visitors- people who have attended the show in the past, and incorporated it as part of their family outing tradition. We also have a high number of dog owners, not only because of excellent dog events, but also because we are one of the only events on that weekend that actually welcomes dogs. As in previous years we will be doing a large amount of advertising to support the show. Our event is widely advertised throughout the East of Scotland, the North East, Fife, Dundee, and Central Scotland, and includes radio advertisements, competitions and interviews on Radio Tay, and Northsound radio, newspaper and magazine advertising, and poster leaflet and roadside sign displays throughout North East and Central Scotland. We have an up to date website, and a facebook page running competitions and raising awareness of the event. We also regularly take part in radio interviews and interviews with newspapers and magazines. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further help.
